The main event at SOUL SURVIVOR V has more intrigue than any in MWF history as Todd Hanson prepares to defend the Millennium Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship against the unknown MWF "Stalker" inside a 15 foot high steel cage match. It's the first cage match in MWF history.
Let's take a look at this "Stalker." Since March of 2006, he's attacked, hurt and humilated wrestler after wrestler, staff member after staff member. It all began in Braintree, MA, where Commissioner Von Johnson got hit in the head with a brick while waiting for a female friend at an area hotel. When answering the knock at his door, he was hammered across the skull and hospitalized. The commish didn't offer much insight, claiming he was KO'd in the parking lot of the Braintree Moose Lodge. The Lodge's video footage of the parking lot proved that claim to be false, and the deranged "Stalker" sent in some sort of cell phone footage to MWF headquarters. "Hollywood" Ron Robinson was attacked in his own home, suffocated with a pillow and suffering a second stroke. In December 2006, WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik was fooled in his own hotel room, with the Stalker showing up claiming to be an MWF cameraman. When the Sheik allowed him in, he poisoned the Sheik's beer.
In the spring of 2007, "Latin Fury" Luis Ortiz was victimized and forced to retire from the sports, only to make a recent appearance at the Killer Kowalski Memorial event. Shortly after SOUL SURVIVOR IV, "Sudden Impact" Dylan Kage, MWF Heavyweight Champion for almost four years, vanished off the face of the planet after almost four years as champ. While celebrating the MWF's 6th anniversary, Sgt. Ralph Lano was bound and gagged in MWF Studios, lucky to be found by Hanson and Dr. Von Johnson. The Jackal was beat up in Kelly's parking lot Valentine's Day weekend of this year, having his throat stomped on, preventing him from calling some of the biggest MWF matches of 2008. MWF Heavyweight Champion Todd Hanson was attacked getting into his car after leaving the gym while preparing for a title defense against "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards in Nashua, NH in March, preventing Hanson from being able to compete in the MWF's New Hampshire debut.
At that point, MWF President John Cena Sr. hired PI Bob Gumbleton to find out who was behind these attacks. . .the president wasn'te even convinced it was a man for whatever reason. As a result, the Stalker continued to mail video and written threats to MWF officials. Days before NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS, the Stalker broke into the backseat of Cena's car and choked him out with a plastic bag over his face once the unsuspecting president entered his car. As a result, Mr. Cena was unable to appear at what turned into a big night in MWF history as we the biggest event in Somerville, MA history blew the roof off of Good Time Emporium.
Over the summer, war was declared. The Stalker gave Cena an ultimatum - cancel ROAD TO THE GOLD 2008 and give him the MWF Heavyweight Champion at SOUL SURVIVOR V, or there would be more victims. Cena surprised everyone and gave into the psycho's demands, but later added that the match would take place inside a steel cage to prevent any kind of interference.
How does Todd Hanson prepare for the unknown?? What makes this "Stalker" tick?? Will we find out who he/she/it is November 15th??
Todd Hanson has been one of the MWF's shining stars going back to 2002. SOUL SURVIVOR has been his event, competing and winning each year. At the first one in his hometown of Lynn, MA, Hanson pinned former WWE IC Champion D-Lo Brown. At SSII, he teamed with Beau Douglas and WWE Hall of Famer "Cowboy" Bob Orton to defeat Ox Baker's Army (Gino Martino, Kamala & "Executioner" Brian Milonas), destroying Martino in the culmination of their wild feud. At SSIII, we were back in Lynn with Hanson's team (including Douglas and ECW icon The Sandman) going to war with Ox Baker's Army in a bloody Lynn Street Fight. This match marked the debut of Cena Sr. as his alter ego Johnny Fabulous, trying to get Hanson & Douglas into his camp. This was the last time we saw several ex-members of Baker's Army. After winning a six-athlete All Star Challenge on MWF ULTRA, Hanson earned the right to challenge Dylan Kage for the MWF Heavyweight Championship at SSIV and was the man to end Kage's near four year run as champion. It was the night that Paul Bearer's Trifecta came to an end.
Since becoming champion, Hanson has continued to impress, coming away with big victories over TNA superstar Chris Sabin, the first MWF Champion Tiger Mulligan, "Slyck" Wagner Brown, "Future Legend" Luke Robinson, Rick Fuller and in September walked out of a violent four way Monsters Ball Match defeating TNA superstar Abyss, Fuller and "Executioner" Milonas. On November 15th, Todd Hanson isn't going to be a sports entertainer or a comedy act, he's going to be a professional wrestler at his finest. The question remains is that enough to defeat the unknown. And what happens if the unknown leaves Melrose with the most prized possession in the northeast - the Millennium Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship?
