NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS:  MATT BORNE/DOINK THE CLOWN TO DEBUT
Sunday, May 23rd, 2010 * 12:18AM

The big announcements keep coming for President Cena's summer of excitement!  The original, evil Doink The Clown (Matt Borne) will make his in-ring debut at MWF NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS Saturday, June 26th at the Bell Time Club in Everett.  Borne is a thirty plus year veteran of this great sport and brings a lot to the table both in the ring and behind the scenes.  His great career was highlighted competing at two WrestleMania's - in the first, he faced Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.  At WrestleMania IX in Las Vegas, he battled Crush.

A little Doink The Clown history, especially where some wannabe weekend warrior pops up every weekend on independent wrestling events.  Matt Borne originated the dark Doink character in WWE in late 1992, where he appeared through late 1993.  Steve Kiern (a.k.a. Skinner) was the second Doink that came from under the ring at WMIX.  When Borne left the company shortly after turning babyface, he was recast by Ray Appollo.  Many have bought Doink outfits and face paint over the year, but Matt Borne is the real, bringing a dark depth to a wrestling clown few could ever imagine.  If you want the dress up Doink's that are middle school janitors during the week, go to another event.  If you want the real deal that's competed in front of millions of fans around the world, be in Everett, LIVE, June 26th!

And don't forget the Matt Borne Studio Shoot Interview taping the following day, Sunday, June 27th in Melrose, MA.  Memberships are on-sale now!  It's going to be a huge weekend for everyone in the Millennium Wrestling Federation.
